PolyDict Essential CMS

Overview

PolyDict Essential CMS is a super-intelligent feature that allows you to build HTML and display it wherever required. So, whether you want to create an entire corporate website for your customers to access or an intranet portal for your employees to access essential information, reports, or dashboards; this is all possible via the following features:

Web Controls

Web controls allow you to create reusable HTML elements on one or more web pages. There are currently 3 different types:

Static HTML

Here's how it works: Your corporate website might display a footer at the bottom of every page. To save you from maintaining the same HTML on every page of the website, you can instead store it in a Static HTML control. Then, on each web page requiring the footer, you simply add the Web Control to the page in the desired location. And to make things stress-free and streamlined, whenever you need to update the footer, you just edit the control, and every page using the control is updated instantly.

Dynamic HTML

This is the solution for interactive and regularly changing data. The results can be rendered as HTML, using whatever commands are necessary to obtain data via your chosen data connection. This could be something as simple as an HTML list, or you could use the results to display colourful charts using the chart.js library or a dynamically created menu for your website.

Feedback Form

Here is the answer for data collection. Simply configure the control to request the required information and have the results sent back to your employees via email. For example, many websites feature a "Contact Us" web page. By constructing the control to ask for name, email address (and any other data you need from your customer) and adding the control to the appropriate web page, the information is sent directly to your customer services department when your customer completes the form.

Web Media

Another clever detail of PolyDict gives you the ability to upload photos and other media for your website to display. For easy usability and time-saving, all images are automatically stored in 9 different sizes; large, medium, small, and thumbnail for both fixed width and height and the original size. This media can then be attached to other areas of the PolyDict functionality, such as blogs and custom data, and dynamically displayed by applying the dynamic HTML controls described above.

Blogs

Have the ability to configure as many different blog types as you wish. Against each blog entry, you can define a subject, a date, copy, and attach an image.

Pages

And finally, let's not forget that PolyDict allows you can create as many web pages as you wish. Against each page, simply assign controls to be displayed in a specific position on the web page as defined by a web template.
